Frequently asked questions
The most common questions, from simulation to recovery. Answers are general information.
Simulation
Does the simulation show my actual result?
No. The simulation is illustrative; it helps you compare hairline and density options on your own face. The actual result depends on donor capacity, hair characteristics and healing, and is planned after examination.
Where does my photo go?
Nowhere. Analysis and rendering happen in your browser. The photo is only shared if you give explicit consent at the “Send to doctor” step; you can remove it from your device at any time with “Delete my photo”.
What kind of photo should I upload?
A front-facing photo in daylight or even lighting, with your forehead visible, hair brushed back and the camera at eye level. Removing glasses and hats improves the analysis. 45° and top views are optional.
Procedure
How long does a hair transplant take?
Usually 6–8 hours depending on the graft count and method, with rest and meal breaks during the day.
Who decides on the procedure?
Suitability, method and graft plan are decided by a doctor after examination. Where a transplant is not appropriate, treatment or waiting may be recommended instead.
What should I do before the procedure?
Tell us about your medications in advance (especially blood thinners); do not stop any medication without your doctor’s advice. Cutting down on alcohol and smoking a week before supports healing.
Recovery
When can I return to work?
Most people return to desk work within 3–5 days. For heavy physical work and sport, doctors usually advise waiting 2–4 weeks.
When will I see the result?
New hair starts growing from months 3–4; the look largely settles by month 12 and may take up to 18 months at the crown.
Will the transplanted hair fall out?
Some may shed temporarily in the first weeks (shock loss); the follicle stays in place and produces new hair. Loss in untreated areas may continue.
Travel and contact
How many days should I stay in Istanbul?
Usually 3 days: examination and procedure, a check the next day, then the first wash and departure.
Which languages do you offer?
Turkish, English and Arabic. An interpreter is with you at the examination, on procedure day and at check-ups.
The information on this page is general and does not replace a medical consultation. The method, graft number and timeline suitable for you can only be determined after an examination. Simulations are illustrative and are not a promise of results.
